STEWART READING-BROWN
A woodland path winding through a carpet of wild garlic in soft spring light at Washington in West Sussex

Heightened Senses

Washington, West Sussex

A narrow path winds through the woodland as wild garlic spreads across the forest floor, bright against the fresh greens of spring. Light filters through the canopy in patches, catching the leaves and guiding the eye forward. There's a quiet pull to it. The path doesn't reveal much, but it keeps drawing you in, step by step, as if something just ahead might open up. It never quite does, and that's part of what holds it together.
