STEWART READING-BROWN
A secluded wooden boathouse partially hidden among autumn trees beside a still pond in Godalming, Surrey

Hide and Seek

Winkworth Arboretum, Godalming, Surrey

Tucked behind layers of autumn colour, a small wooden boathouse sits at the edge of still water, partially hidden from view. The reflections and foliage soften everything, making it feel like something you weren't quite meant to see. It's one of those scenes that doesn't fully reveal itself. You notice it gradually, piece by piece, and even then it feels like there's more just out of sight.
