A sunlit tree tunnel along a woodland path at Halnaker in West Sussex

Halnaker Tree Tunnel

Halnaker, West Sussex

At Halnaker, the path narrows as the trees bend and weave together overhead, forming a natural tunnel that pulls you forward. Light filters through in patches, breaking across the ground and guiding the eye toward the opening ahead. It’s familiar in structure, but the atmosphere changes everything. You don’t rush through it — you slow down, take it in, and follow it without really thinking about where it leads.
