STEWART READING-BROWN
The sun setting behind Brighton Palace Pier, aligned with a tower and silhouetting the amusement rides against a vivid orange sky.

Ignis

Brighton Palace Pier, Brighton, East Sussex

Brighton Palace Pier falls into silhouette as the sun drops directly behind it, lining up almost perfectly with one of the vertical towers. For a moment, everything sits in place — structure and light meeting at a single point. The sky holds as a deep, uninterrupted field of orange. Detail falls away, leaving the pier reduced to shape and outline. The alignment only lasts briefly before the sun slips lower and the balance breaks.
